Our Philosophy
At Nane Danza, we believe that dance is about far more than learning steps.
Dance is an art form. It is a way of thinking, creating, collaborating, expressing, and growing.
For many young dancers, regular ballet classes provide a wonderful technical foundation. The Junior Company was created to offer something more: the opportunity to experience dance more completely.
Here, dancers continue developing their technique while also discovering the creative process, collaborating with guest artists, rehearsing as a company, contributing to new choreography, and sharing meaningful performances together.
Just as importantly, they experience this journey alongside other dancers who share the same enthusiasm, commitment, curiosity, and genuine love for learning. Together, they create an environment where they inspire one another, challenge one another, and celebrate each other's growth.
We also believe that meaningful progress comes when dancers take ownership of their own development. Curiosity, initiative, responsibility, and a willingness to embrace challenges are qualities that allow young dancers not only to grow individually, but also to contribute positively to the group around them.
Because understanding dance is about more than learning steps—it is about experiencing everything that makes dance such a remarkable art form.
About the Junior Company
The Nane Danza Junior Company is an invitation-based company experience for Ballet 4 and Ballet 5 dancers who are ready to continue their development in a more collaborative and creative environment.
It is designed for dancers who love ballet, enjoy the process of learning, and want to experience the joy of working together towards something meaningful.
More than an additional class, the Junior Company is a place where dancers develop new skills, explore their creativity, and learn what it means to be part of an artistic team.
More than an additional class
The Junior Company offers dancers the opportunity to experience the complete journey of creating a performance.
Alongside expert technical training, dancers work with guest teachers and choreographers, explore different movement qualities, contribute to the development of new choreography, and experience the excitement of bringing ideas from the studio to the stage.
Perhaps even more importantly, they experience this journey alongside a group of dancers who share the same enthusiasm, commitment, and genuine love for learning. Working together in this environment allows them to inspire one another, learn from one another, and grow together in ways that are only possible within a dedicated company.
This collaborative artistic experience is one that many dancers do not encounter until much later in their training. It offers young dancers an insight into the creative process that is more commonly experienced in vocational schools and professional dance companies, while remaining rooted in the supportive and nurturing environment of Nane Danza.
They discover that dance is not only about performing a finished piece—it is also about exploring ideas, collaborating with others, refining movement, and sharing something meaningful with an audience.
Through this experience, dancers develop a deeper understanding of dance as an art form. They strengthen their creativity, confidence, and ability to work collaboratively, while discovering the satisfaction of contributing to something created together.

Designed with Balance in Mind
We understand that our dancers have many important parts of their lives: school, family, friendships, and other interests.
For this reason, the Junior Company meets in one focused weekly session every Wednesday from 17:00–19:00.
At the same time, being part of a company means being part of a team. Each rehearsal builds on the previous one, and every dancer contributes to the creative process.
For this reason, we ask Junior Company members to make this weekly commitment a priority, allowing the group to grow together and ensuring that every dancer can rely on their teammates.

Training Session
Technique & Conditioning
The first hour is dedicated to technical training and physical development.
Throughout the season, dancers work with Nane Danza teachers and guest artists, exploring:

Elements from different dance styles and movement languages.
Each guest artist brings a different perspective, helping dancers become versatile, curious, and expressive performers.
18:00 – 19:00
Rehearsal & Creation Session
The second hour is dedicated to creation and rehearsal.
Here, dancers experience the collaborative process behind performance: exploring movement ideas, developing choreography, refining details, and working together towards performance throughout the season.
Rather than simply learning choreography, dancers become active participants in the creative journey.
Tuition
The annual tuition for the Junior Company is €1,060, with three payment options available:

€355 – Three term payments (August, November & March)

PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES
The Junior Company gives dancers the opportunity to experience the complete journey of creating and performing.
From the first creative ideas, through rehearsals and refinement, to the final performance, dancers experience the pride of seeing their dedication and artistic growth come to life on stage.
As a natural extension of their additional training, creative work, and rehearsal experience, Junior Company dancers will also have the opportunity to take on more prominent roles within Nane Danza performances. These opportunities are not simply a benefit of membership, but a reflection of the greater artistic and technical development that takes place throughout the season.
For many dancers, this becomes one of the most rewarding aspects of the experience: seeing their commitment, creativity, and progress expressed through meaningful performance opportunities.
SELECTION PROCESS
Who is the Junior Company for?
The Junior Company is designed for dedicated Ballet 4 and Ballet 5 dancers who are ready to embrace a deeper artistic experience.
Places are limited to maintain the quality of the training environment and allow each dancer to receive meaningful attention and guidance.
Dancers join through teacher invitation or selection process.
Selection considers not only technical development, but also the qualities that allow a company environment to flourish.
Technical Development
Dancers should demonstrate a strong foundation in Ballet 4 and Ballet 5 vocabulary, together with the coordination, strength, musicality, and confidence needed to continue progressing
Commitment & Consistency
Growth requires consistency.
Dancers should demonstrate commitment to their regular training, reliable attendance, and an understanding that progress comes through continuous effort.
Maturity & Respect
A positive artistic environment is built on respect—for teachers, classmates, the rehearsal process, and the shared commitment of the group.
Positive Attitude
We value dancers who embrace challenges, enjoy learning, and approach new experiences with curiosity and determination.
Ability to Apply Corrections
Growth requires openness.
Dancers should be willing to receive feedback, apply corrections, and actively use them to develop both technically and artistically.
Initiative & Motivation to Continue Improving
The Junior Company is a place for dancers who take ownership of their growth.
We value dancers who prepare themselves, practise independently, explore new possibilities, and continue improving because they genuinely enjoy the process.
This is not a class where dancers simply learn and repeat combinations.
Dancers are encouraged to think, contribute, collaborate, and become active participants in the creative process.

The dancers who join the first Junior Company will become the founding members of this program.
They will help establish the culture, values, and artistic identity of the Junior Company from its very beginning.
