Nayeli Vazquez Bertely
Director & Ballet teacher

I’m a dancer, dance teacher, and choreographer born in México in 1987. I hold a BA in Contemporary Dance from Universidad Veracruzana (México, 2012), and a COMMA Master's in Choreography—a double degree from Codarts University of the Arts and Fontys School of Fine and Performing Arts (The Netherlands, 2021). I have also pursued studies in foreign languages.

Since 2006, I’ve had the opportunity to teach at both private and public institutions in the Netherlands and internationally. In 2016, I founded Nane Danza, a space where I share my knowledge and passion for dance, guiding students as they explore and develop their artistic potential.

As a performer, I’ve danced with Último Tren Dance Company (Mexico City), Misiconi Dance Company (The Netherlands), and participated in a range of creative projects across Mexico and Europe. While my main pedagogical focus is now on Nane Danza, I’ve recently taught at Talvandansen, the 010 Dance Program, and worked at Codarts in Rotterdam—both as a guest répétiteur and guest choreographer.

My choreographic work is deeply inspired by nature, neuroscience, quantum physics, and the complexity of human emotions. I love blending ballet with my own choreographic tools to craft original and meaningful stories told through movement. You can find my research "Little Miracles" at Research Catalogue, an international database for artistic research.

Beyond dance, I’m a warm and approachable person who enjoys connecting with others. I find joy in books, travel, animals, family, and a good piece of chocolate.
